About
Yamily Camacho Aburto has a Master’s degree in International Affairs (International Trade Policy cluster) from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs in Ottawa, Canada; a Diploma in Foreign Trade from the Universidad Iberomericana in Mexico City; and a Bachelor of Honours degree from the Universidad de las Americas-Puebla where she graduated cum-laude.
Ms. Camacho worked as Deputy Trade Commissioner of Mexico in Costa Rica promoting the trade relationship not only between Mexico and Costa Rica, but also Nicaragua and Panama. She travelled extensively in this Central American region working closely with entrepreneurs, government officials, and development banks. She wrote various articles for Negocios Internacionales, the foreign trade magazine published by Bancomext (Mexico’s Foreign Trade Bank).
Ms. Camacho worked at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico as a Trade System Specialist, dealing with agriculture issues.
Currently, she is collaborating as a freelance in a research project for the government of Veracruz (Mexico).
