The Waterloo Room
Where will Mr. Obama be when the US Thanksgiving rolls around in later November?
Since we're into predictions today (see end of previous post), I believe Mr. Obama will be in Afghanistan for Thanksgiving 2009. He'll do this for a few reasons:
1. The troops deserve it
2. Mr. Obama believes in the Afghanistan mission
3. He does not want to be more associated with the Iraq stabilisation mission than necessary. I predict he will make precious, precious few trips to this theatre as president.
Anyone think he'll be in Iraq? Or will he visit another overseas post of US military personnel (S. Korea?)? Why?
